I offer several grades of polish to accommodate the different needs for a polish ones sword. I feel that if you are a collector of Japanese swords and do not use your sword for training the full art polish is the best choice. If you have any question on what a full polish involves please see my Polishing page. Please make a note that there will be additional fees for blades that have hi or horimono. If you were to have any other question please feel free to contact me.
- Full Art Polish: The highest level polish offered. This polish is for show pieces only. I would not recommend this polish if you are going to train with your sword.
- High Iaito Grade: For swords used in training. This polish will be finished out further than the mid grade. Detail difference with this will be the blades activity will brought out more. The blade will also be lightly burnish.
- Mid Iaito Grade: For swords used in training. The work done with this polish is very minor. The blade will be taken through the first couple stones up to chu-nagura. The blade surfaces will be smooth but will not show much of the hamon or other activity you are use to see.
- Window Opening: not sure what you have? I will polish a window into you sword. This is for swords with heavy rust and staining

TURN AROUND TIMES
- Time Table For Polish -
All polishing work preformed will range from 2-4 weeks. If I feel your sword will extend out longer than the range given I will inform you of that. Updates will be given by e-mail on when your sword has been started and when it is nearing completion. If there is any information I feel you should be aware of I will notify you by e-mail. Please understand that these time frames begin when you are up in line and your polish has begun.
You may also be asked to keep your sword until your spot in line is a week away. I now only allow a small number of swords in my studio at a time.
- Some Words For Your Thoughts -
Before one decides to commission work such as a polish and or mount they should ask themselves the questions "Can I wait?" There can typically be a extensive wait time depending upon the commission. Completion time frame will be given upon price quotes. This also includes the time before your project comes up in line. Any mounting work will play a roll in the amount of time before the work is complete. All commissions will be done in order in which they were taken. Projects will not be rushed at any time. All craftsmen need proper amount of time to preform to the best of their ability.
Please Note: When a project is out for any mount work that does not reflect on my time table. I use several craftsmen and each one has there own work load in addition to what I send them.
